Don't you get it? There isn't EVER going to be a drawing. It's a SCAM. BIG has finally traded their reputation in for ISK. There is NO WAY they are ever going to sell the 30k tickets. NEVER. Congrats BIG on potentially the biggest non-corp theft scam EVAR.

Ahhh, McBelch. I see Daemonspirit brought in a replacement alt to defend BIG. So are all of you working out of the same account? Or are you different guys who take turns trying to prolong the SCAM?
If we're all going to wait until 30k tickets are sold, we're going to be waiting a very, very long time (thats forever, in case you weren't paying attention). So what excuse will you be giving today? If you've got answers, let's hear them. If not, just STFU already. This isn't even your thread (or is it?). |

Actually, I do have tickets. Under another character, obviously. I chose the alt name "Dumb" for that reason. I was dumb to have bought into a lottery in EVE. I really should have known better.
Perhaps it hasn't occurred to anyone here, but the way this thread keeps going with lots of comments from people like us, it's definitely never going to sell 30k tickets. What I find suspicious at this point isn't the lack of response from BIG, it's the assertion that he has a "deal" with others that he has to follow through on. If that is the case, he's burning down BIG's rep for an anonymous industrialist. Which seems odd, given that no one in the general EVE public is likely to trust BIG again. If he cared about BIGs reputation, he would simply say to the industrialist, see, it didn't work out. I'm refunding the money. If you don't want to do business with BIG again, great. If not, I'm not worried because the people who participate in my lottery know they can trust me and thats more valuable.
But he isn't, hasn't, doesn't. That's the tip-off. That's how you know this thing has moved into scam territory. |

Congrats. Your last post said nothing, added nothing, resolved nothing, and had a calorie count of 0 (so you've got that going for ya, which is nice).
I've noticed that you are most likely to post after the accusation of SCAM gets loud enough. Then you chum the water a bit.
Doesn't appear to be working this time though. It's over. Face it. It didn't work. Refunds all around. |

Torn: what will you do if the lottery doesn't sell out in the next 6 months? What if it doesn't sell in the next 12 months?
You owe it to us to be straightforward. Your continual avoidance of the issue does you no good, does us no good, does the situation no good. The fact that you treat your customers with such contempt and disrespect is proof that you don't deserve whatever good reputation you've managed to garner.
It would also be nice if BIG alts stopped posting like they were real customers (idiolectics). |

Well, well, the high and mighty finally responds. I think a majority of people would say that a month old post doesn't count as an update. Saying "something is being worked on" is about as much of an update as a newscaster saying "something happened today." Your general attitude sucks. You can't even bring yourself to deal with your clients politely. If you haven't handled this in the month since you last posted, why should anyone believe that you ever will? What could possibly hold you up for over a month? What could possibly take that long to "work on"?
So, I ask again:
What will you do if the tickets don't sell in 6 months? What if they don't sell in 12 months? They're simple questions. Answer them. |

It's really quite simple. Instead of random people shouting into the thread that the Terms of the Lottery are clearly stated, why doesn't Torn/BIG state that? In fact, that's the one thing they've never said. Torn said that he's "working on a solution." Which implies that, in fact, the terms of the lottery will change. So, if you're going to get all hostile (you really are a punk btw), why don't you take your brilliant ( ) legal mind and follow the logic all the way through?
Again, 2 simple questions for BIG and Torn. What will you do if the tickets don't sell in 6 months? What will you do if the tickets don't sell in 12 months?
If the answer is, "we're gonna keep going until all of the tickets sell, even if they never do" just say it, Torn. Why WOULDN'T you say that, if those are the terms of the lottery? Its obvious, right? Because then no one would buy them.

Here's the list. Note the time stamp on the last entry of the ticket list. It follows this posting and your other posting on the Market Discussion forum by more than 6 hours. I'll try again at the 24 hour mark. I would hate to think that you were misrepresenting yourself or that you were yet another alt posting on Torn's behalf, like Daemonspirit, who seems to care so much about BIG that it is obvious he's with BIG.
BTW, Torn, I noticed that you have actually slightly (and I mean very slightly) increased the rate of ticket purchase since I began posting to this thread. You should thank me. Of course, that doesn't solve the problem. At this rate, 30k tickets won't be sold in the next two years. |

Are you implying that 2 1/2 months is instant gratification? Perhaps for Ents and Elves, but that's a different game.
Had you not fallen prey to the character flaw you find in others, you would have taken a moment to look at the tickets page of their website. You would have seen quite clearly that at the rate of 1 to 5 tickets per day, the lottery will sell out in a few years. I'm afraid that's well outside anyone's definition of a reasonable amount of time.
You would also have read the last few pages of this thread and discovered that I am asking two simple questions. Neither of which involves a demand of specific action. I'll use this opportunity to ask them again: what will BIG do if the lottery doesn't sell out in 6 months? What if it doesn't sell out in 12 months?
If someone wants me to stop asking what the plan is, all BIG has to do is answer the questions. It could not possibly be any simpler. |

The questions, once again, are:
1. What will BIG do if the lottery doesn't sell out in 6 months?
2. What will BIG do if the lottery doesn't sell out in 12 months?
"Until then sit tight" in no way answers either question. Torn could answer the questions directly and easily: "If the lottery doesn't sell out in 6 months, we'll keep going. If the lottery doesn't sell out in 12 months, we'll keep going." So why doesn't he just say that?
The bottom line is, everyone knows that despite whatever the first page of this thread says, the idea of going on forever is ridiculous. Plain and simple. Does BIG really want to wear a neverending lottery as an albatross around its neck? No. Will they end it at some point? Obviously they're going to have to, if they don't want this thread popping up once a day forever. So why not get on top of this thing now and give people back they're money? |

Also interesting: CCP StevieG's post was followed by one from Ji Sama (calling for StevieG to get another job) and one from Daemonspirit (trying to say that StevieG's quote was actually about me). Both of them have been removed by CCP. Proof positive that both are Torn alts. Since Ji Sama "bought" 1 billion in tickets, it seems clear that we're never getting our money and there will never be a drawing for this lottery. Well, here we are on the last day. Looking at the increase in sales since you gave an end date, I can't help but think that you could have gotten a lot closer to selling out if you had announced the end date sooner. Oh well. Looking forward to getting my ISK back. Of course, I expect that to take forever too. Maybe you'll surprise us all by having planned ahead for the job. But I doubt it.

There can certainly be another lottery, but some of us want out. Its best to refund and then anyone who wants to participate in another titan lottery is free to do so.

I would not have done any of this or persisted for so long had you not been so rude and dismissive. Because you treated me and your other clients with such incredible disrespect, I did what any good consumer advocate does, agitate. When the big boys don't want to do the right thing and you don't have the power to force them to do it, its your only recourse. While you have denied it, it worked.
It should be noted that as soon you posted an end date, I made one last post, changed the title of my MD thread, and stopped posting. I'm happy to admit that I was wrong: the Triple Titan Lottery is not a scam (contingent on the actual refund of ISK to all players). And I'm glad it wasn't. It was just poorly handled. I wish TS and BIG good luck and future success. |
